	Oh yes here comes the schoolwork. If you have a horse or intend getting one then there's a whole lot more to it than just trotting through the forest in your favorite tweed jacket! As much as your husband/ boyfriend/ partner will look after the car cleaning, fussing over all the bits, spending money on alloy wheels, bigger speakers etc, etc you will need to do the same with you dear horse.

There are books galore written on horse care and how to go about it but the best way to learn is to get stuck in right from the start! knee deep in poo with a shovel and wheellbarrow!.

The British Horse Society can help you with a variety of exams in horse care and knowledge and most local colleges run courses based around these exams.

Bernie has been through the mill with exams and gone through BHS stages one and two so if a fifty something lady can do it I’m sure you can!
