Horses As Art.
From a very early stage it becomes apparent that anyone with their own horse will spend vast amounts of money on anything personally related to their own Horse. Any product with the horses name on is fair game, socks, umbrella's sunglasses, underwear of any description, if it reminds you of your horse that you already spend most of the day with, then you just have to have it!! the cost is totally immaterial.
You will soon find your kitchen adorned with crockery, place mats, napkins, coffee mugs, those ridiculous fridge magnets all bearing the "loving head and shoulders" pic of your beloved horse smiling at you with that animated grin no matter where you turn!. "Arr its lovely" you will be told,
"It’s my Oscar". This and many other phrases will come to haunt you as time goes on.
However!!
I have in the past been asked to take pics of various horses for their owners and have had great fun in doing so, most horse's seem very keen to pose for you once they understand they are the centre of attention. I do hold my hand up to a few of the pics on this site, the one on the home page being one of my favourite.

Debbie is a local {Dorset} Girl who has been doing graphite sketches of various speedway riders for some time largely going un-noticed within her particular field. In the summer of 2002 I gave her a photo of Bernie's dear Oscar and was stunned with the results especially as on her own admission this was the first time she had attempted animals! This was followed with a fantastic pencil sketch of "Biggles" one of Bernie's dogs who died early 2002.
